General Info
The Cardozo Law Review is published six times per year. Dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary and philosophical scholarship as well as exploring timely national issues, we invite article submissions on all legal subjects.

Selection
The journal seeks to reflect the vibrant, intellectually stimulating atmosphere of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Our article selection committee composed of the Editor in Chief, Executive Editor and Submission Editors.

In general, this precludes the publication of case notes or other narrowly focused works. Essays and book reviews will be considered on a limited basis.

Our editorial policy affords substantial deference to authors, articles must be both well written and completely argued at the time of submission. Limited resources generally prevent us from filling in the gaps of an otherwise significant article or substantially correcting its style.

Editing
Both the argument of an article and its “voice” should be the creations of the author. Our edits are intended to hone the author’s vision, rather than replace it with our own.

To this end, after completing our substantial round of editing, we send the author a "track-changed" copy of the manuscript that shows all changes we have made. Substantial changes are accompanied by substantive comments or questions. Our changes are meant as reasoned suggestions, not editorial edicts, and we will respect the author’s judgment regarding whether the changes should, in the end, be made.

Submission
The Cardozo Law Review prefers electronic submissions. To electronically submit an Article, please use ExpressO or click here.

Currently we are no longer accepting submissions for Volume 30, our volume for the 2008-09 academic year, as all of our available space has been filled. We will begin reviewing submissions for Volume 31 in March of 2009.

Our submissions process generally takes 3-4 weeks to process articles.
