DOMA After the Holder Memo
Editor's Note: Included below is a collection of articles on the Defense of Marriage Act in light of Attorney General Eric Holder's letter to U.S. House Speaker John Boehner, announcing the Executive Branch’s determination that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act, 1 U.S.C. § 7—which limits federal recognition of marriage, and all of the rights and benefits that accompany such a recognition, to only unions involving a man and a woman—could no longer withstand constitutional scrutiny.
